Dear Macland buddies
After the euphoria of the chemo stabilising things last year, it was a real blow to discover that effects only lasted whilst the chemo was in my system and come end of January (2011) the tumours on the liver started growing again. A week in the Royal Marsden - Fulham Road (despite living within 5 minutes of Sutton) confirmed the diagnosis and I've started on a new chemo, Doxorubicin which we are hoping ill prove both effective and longer lasting than the Paclitaxil I had last time.
We tried to get a PICC line in but the veins kept collapsing so I've had a portacath inserted, which should make treatment easier, (even the ultrasound caused my veins to collapse).
Just when the hair was starting to grow I'm going to lose it again, and I won't even mention the steroids but I've increased two dress sizes in just a few weeks!
Well folks this is the latest, I hope hope to have better news next time we speak
love and gentle hugs
Sharry xx
