Less than one minute read time.
Well...here we go....i shud be sat here today case packed waiting for a taxi to take me to the airport...jetting off to the sun for a week....instead im sat here waiting to go and have my 1st cycle of chemotherapy...not quite the same is it...lol... Ive got a mixture of emotions...relief that im actually starting after the long wait...apprehension of what is going to happen ....and the worst one...jealousy...of my sister and her hubby who ARE going to the airport...they said it wont be the same without me...bless em...and have promised to book the same hol next year and save us a place with them...thats something to look forward to. So...lets just get the 1st cycle over with...its the beginning of another stage towards recovery ...and hopefully packing a suitcase and waiting for a taxi to the airport...lol...good luck to everyone on here...chat soon xxx

I'm so glad you arn't feeling too bad after your chemo. Hopefully you won't feel any worse than u do now. I always felt ok till day 3, then the aches set in...it was mainly from the Taxol tho, so hopefully won't be a problem for you since you are having Carbolplatin.

    I'm 50 soon too...another similarity lol,

Take care , love Carolyn xx

Hi Sharon, what a coincidence.  I had mentioned earlier that my partner and I went on our first holiday abroad after treatment finished, well that holiday was to Fuengirola and we have gone to Benidorm every year since.  In fact, we are getting married in November and spending three weeks there.  Have also been to Malaga, although only on a day trip.

I wish I could be there on your birthday, it would certainly brighten up everyone's day to see you with your balloon and badge.

Hope the chemo continues to go well for you.  Best wishes, Christine xx

Hi Sharon, thanks for your good wishes.  Yes we are all getting excited, 11 weeks to go today.

Lucky you having that apartment every year.  Maybe I could have it in your place this year lol.

I'm sure nobody will think your balloons etc will be inappropriate.  It'll perk them all up I'm sure.

Have a nice weekend.  Christine xx
