May the 4th be with you! Good News Good News!

1 minute read time.
Well my fellow Jedis isn't it nice that we finally get a bank holiday to recognise May the 4th as Jedi Day. Now if only I could legally carry my light saber! Maybe we should recruit Joanna Lumley. It is a very good day today. I've just got out of hospital after 4th chemo session and am feeling physically ..... emm not bad considering but ............. I had a chest X Ray prior to treatment and the picture was quite amazing. After being given 6 months to live 3 weeks ago the current X ray shows my 2 biggest tumours have shrunk by 50% and a lot of the smaller tumours have shrunk too. Amazing and encouraging and such a great tool to focus me on remaining positive. But, not any reason to extend my life expectancy according to my onc. He says another cycle with similar results and we'll talk more about extending life expectancy numbers. Carry on doing what I'm doing is the message. Well that's: Chemo et al medication associated Eat, eat, eat (healthy stuff and crap I''ve put on sooo much wait) positive vibes, loads of water at least 4 litres a day, a varied alcoholic tipple regime (one week wine, next gin & tonic next bloody mary.. 1 or 2 a day as long as you're still drinking water), meditation and visualization- I pretend that the tumours are Death Stars and the rebellion fleet are flying through my lungs shooting at them, come on Luke that holes no bigger than a womprat! Rest, rest, rest - do what your body tells you. Reiki sessions at the mustard tree - brilliant for removing the stress! That's what I'm doing...it takes time to realise that there's no magic bullet, no secret weak point that's only 2m across that a small X wing with a bit of help from his friends could shoot to cause the whole thing to explode, disappear and we all live happily ever after. Excellent, everything is proceeding exactly as I have foreseen it! May the force be with you all, don't be tempted to the Dark Side. Dave
