Well finished rt 3 weeks ago but had really bad burns from radiotherapy on neck and chest still am. oncologist has today suggested i have gentian violet!! and flamazine been using flamazine for a while also geliperm straight from the fridge wonderful then back to see oncologist in 6 weeks to ensure burns are gone been to burns unit at selly oak but oncologist said i dont need to go now !! i remember gentian violet from when i was young used on impetigo !!! dont care as long as it helps !! hope everyone is as well as can be expectedxx

Oh Win, all my sympathy. I had problems with burns and split skin after radiotherapy but yours sound particularly nasty. Yes, I remember gentian violet too - I seem to recall it stains everything including the skin.

Good luck - lucky purple is soooo fashionable at the moment LOL!

Well i will use that as a positive !! i do like purple !! i dont care as long as t works !! i said to doctor today if the cancer doesnt kill me the f#### treatment will !! lol oh well see what happens thanks xxx
