Hi all,
Clan is the National Association of Laryngectomee Clubs Newsletter. I got my issue today, and some of the information available was hard to believe.
Anyone wanting to look up what Wikipedia,s impressive websites on Cancer of the larynx or of Laryngectomy. it gives all the detail of the different types of Laryngeal Cancer, and how some are now treated.
In one of the items it states that pets i,e Cats and Dogs can have the procedure done, to either Dogs as a debarking procedure or Bark softening, and in Cats the procedure for the same reason know as demeowing. This procedure is outlawed in the United Kingdom.and attempts are being made to Outlaw the procedure in various American States.
How this is allowed to take place on Pets is beyond my apprehension or am I not understanding the reason for it. Maybe we should ask the Pets????
Regards Sarsfield.
