Type of Sarcoma

Less than one minute read time.

Hi,
I've been having persistant pain in my leg for about 6 weeks now. My doctors sent me for an xray and there is a 5cm tumour near the top of my left femur, it is within the bone. From the xray they have said it looks cancerous. I have been referred to Birmingham ROH for biopsies. I've a million questions to ask and just in complete limbo as I know it will be a few weeks before I get any results.
If anyone has any advice or suggestions I could be doing while I wait for my results it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

  • Hi Ashleigh. I have recently joined and I noticed your post is from a few years ago. I was diagnosed with a sarcoma in my right hip bone which then spread down my femur bone, I got a gamma nail fitted to secure a pathological fracture. I had radiotherapy and now I have some spread but I wondered how you're getting on now that some time has passed?
