I miss my hair

Less than one minute read time.
I miss my hair... i miss walking, running, and just getting out on my own. They found a tumor on my right knee and thus that is how I found out I had cancer. The tumor weakned my knee and so now my family don't let me drive and take me everywhere. I just miss my independence of doing what i want and going out & about. But I have started swimming and that helps alot. But the great side of it everyone goes with me when i get to go out & I don't go alone anywhere ;-)

Hi Sara, When you have been through cancer as you have your family feel they have to help and protect you, it is  there way of coping.

You do need some independence too. Try explaining to your family that you appreciate what they have done but you need to do some things for yourself. I don't mean to stop all there help because l am sure you do need some. Just start with some think that you can acheive and then build up from there.

When l was recovering from Ovarian cancer my mother wanted to wrap me in cotton wool but my brother stuck up for me to be able to do what l wanted.

    all the best Rosie
