symptoms after cone biopsy

Less than one minute read time.

hi has anyone had symptoms after cone biopsyy?

ive had 3 periods since, and the last 2 have been awful, at times excruciating!

only when im on period it seems to make everything else inside tender and cause probs like its tender inside when i wee, wind suddenly becomes a big problem, thats the excuciatingly painful bit! like someones stabbed me, and it feels heavy right by pubic bone.

spoke to mac millan nurse yesterday and she said it sounded like by bodys finding it hard to let period go and the operation has probably scard me and thats resting on bowel.  she wanted to check with consultant but he wasnt there.

my dad has recently died from bowel cancer so thats making me worry as im having trouble at that end now, awaiting to be screened for that. and avoiding all windy foods coz i cant be in that pain! how long does scare tissue take to heal?  will it heal?

their in there again at end of sept to take another biopsy to see if cancer has come back, prob leave another scar!

any advise plz?

    Hi Sam,

Sounds like your in alot of pain,go and see your G.P. when you can. If the pain is very bad go to your

A.E. at your hospital. I thought your nurse would have been able to help with the pain. All the best.

Take care and be safe Big Hugs Love Sarsfield.xxx

Hi Samman, I agree with Jan, there could well be an infection present.

My daughter had pre-cancerous cells removed and at her next visit months later they gynaecologist told her she was still very red in that area, so guess it can take a while to heal properly.

I wouldn't wait till the end of Sept to see someone about this as it could well be something that is cleared up relatively quickly.

I hope your bowel screening results are good. Let us know how it goes.

    Best wishes, Christine xx

thank you all for your advice, turned out where they had taken the biopsy the scar tissue had healed and almosxt closed my cervix opening, stenosis its called, but had a check up while i was there and apart from the smear being really really bloody painful! he said no sign of cancer huurraahh!!! altho that was almost 1 month ago its taken me this long for it 2 sink in. but happy days.  theyre going to dialate my cervix under general at end of month, on next period.  it makes sense, i would have one day of bleeding next excruciating pain and no blood loss then smallamounts of blood and not much pain for the next few days then 2 weeks or so some more period pains but no blood. my period cant get out of my body.  i managed to combat the wind pain by eating very bland things around that time, worked last period.  feel though i cant move on until this op is over as its all still in the loop of cancer, hospitals, however i am starting to feel extremely lucky.  thank you all aging for kind words and advice.xxx
