Hi can anyone help me just got ca125 result gone up from 23 to 144 consultant away till Friday
Has anyones gone up that high and it was not the cancer coming back,
So upset only 4 months two weeks since last chemo .

I am still on Chemo for advanced ovarian cancer so I can only imagine how you are feeling.
I do know someone diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer 8 years ago whose CA125 rating went from normal to circa 100+ recently and it wasnt cancer.
It subsequently dropped back and is now around 40 ish and still dropping.
Consultant has no idea why it went up or why it is now dropping without any intervention -CA 125 can be influenced by many things so fingers crossed for you.

A friend I met when I was having chemo said her ca125 went up and down again , for no apparent reason, during her 5 year remission. So it does happen sometimes.Hoping thats the case for you.
I'm so upset your ca125 has gone up. Hopefully it may only be a response to some inflammatory changes in your body (like mine did with the bowel obstruction). Mine went from 12-76 in space of a week but slowly settled back over last three months with no further treatment (now 16).
Have you had any inflammations or viruses recently that may affect your numbers?
Friday can't come quick enough can it?....nothing worse than waiting!!!!
