Hi
Bad news cancer back 1cm tumour and fluid round bladder.
Told will have carboplatin and caelyx.
Has anyone else had this and did it work ,did hair fall out ( told hair will be ok)
Also told more than likely would not have 5 years now as come back 4months and 2 weeks after last chemo .
Feeling down want to scream anyone good news having had this chemo.

I am ok chemo not to bad ca125 gone down from 448 to 144 so going down .What was your ca125 and how many times have you had taxol and carboplatin . You said you only had chemo 6 months ago did your ca125 go up and did you have a scan . I feel ok and still have hair so all good . Hope you are well and chemo going ok .
Sorry my reply is such a long time coming, l could not find the right link until now. I have had three rounds of Carboplatin and Taxol with good remission in between until my last one which was 6 months.
I have had my scan and they have found some cancer but really quite early because my C125 was only 112, usually it is much higher when they find it on the scan.
Because it was so small l have not started treatment yet. I am going back on 7th October to see if the C125 has gone up any more.
My Oncologist has mentioned possible Chemo possible trial, I thought that it would be one of the onces on the macmillian web site. Having read some of the other blogs it might be he wants me to trial another drug or one with Caelyx. shall have to wait and see.
