I found the first part of the chemo ok all went well but I was feeling tired. The following week I went for Gemcitabine on its own. I was told that my blood results were good. So l had the second part which went ok as expected. I feels ok but was conscious of feeling very tired just didn't pick up. Had my chemo free week then went for round two.
Was told my bloods were very low could they have another sample which they did.
Result was I was admitted to hospital and given a lot of antibiotics and in hospital for 7 days. What l don't understand is I didn't feel I'll just very tired. I need to find out what to look for this time because l don't want to be admitted again.
Just had round two part one! Oncologist has lowered dose of chemo so l hope this means l can cope better with the feeling tired. He sais he could not promise I would not have to be admitted again but fingers crossed any way. Have part two next we'd then wait and see what happens!
Hi Nic thanks for reply. My bloods were checked before chemo but were too low so checked again to see if they had come up but they were still dropping, I had no resistance at all. So was put in solitary confine ment.
