I've just been diagnosed with breast cancer following a routine mammogram. I'm booked to have a mastectomy op the week after next and I don't know what to expect. how I'll be afterwards. I'd like to be able to talk to people who have had the same op and hear from them what happens.

Hi renallan. I've just seen your blog. I know it maybe a little late but I had mine done 7 weeks ago. If you want to know anything please ask.
Mine went well and I was uncomfortable, still am in some positions. Don't overdo things and drink plenty of fluid. The exercises are easy to do but only do them as often as you have been told to. I did them too much and got told off.
