Hi there. my partner was diagnosed with lung cancer in June 2009. He has had chemo & radiotherapy but the tumour is growing again & spread to his spleen. He has been on Tarceva for 6 weeks now. The worst side effect for him is the rash which has been horrendous but everyone is different. He uses Aveeno cream for the rash together with doxycycline antibiotics & piriton to relieve the itching. We don't know how effective it is yet he is due to be scanned again on 19th Sept. so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it is doing the job. Good luck with the Tarceva I hope it works for you. Would like to hear about your progress.

    Val.

i am on Tarceva and have been for 6 months, cancer first diagnosed last year feb 2011, chemo, radio, plus radio to brain, but tarceva has some side effects, i.e really long curly lashes, and a rash, this has now gone, skin tends to be itchy and sore, but survival is better i can deal with the side affects
