Hi everyone

Hope your all ok. My husband has finished Radiotherapy just waiting for an appointment with consultant about starting his chemo. I telephoned his nurse two weeks ago to help as he has been getting very depressed, she didn't bother phoning back. At least we're seeing his consultant next week.

Thank you everyone for your recipes they have really helped a lot.

It's so rotten when they don't call back.

My mum had cancer 5 years ago and my son had cancer last year. One thing I learned is I had to ask and ask and ask. So when you don't hear back, keep on phoning. You're not asking for much, just some help.

Have you been in contact with your local carers association? It's well worth the effort to talk to them. Mine were fantastic and helped me enormously.

They should be able to help you claim any benefits you are entitled to. For heavens sake don't wait until you really need them, it can take forever for a decision to be made. It took them months to decide to help my son and I spent every penny of my savings (fortunately I had some) to care for him.
