cant believe it, was just replying to Sue, Carol and Kitty when I was interrupted with the phone, Marie Currie Cancer, I have collected for them before but they wanted to know if I would do it again, I could hardly speak, I blurted out my dad has just been diagnosed and could hardly say anything else. Now it is more personal I should be more happy to do it, but I just can't.....man, I can't believe how selfish I feel

Ya know, there is only so much emotional turmoil a person can take. Don't you dare feel you are selfish. A person gives as much as they can. Period. Sometimes other people have to carry the burdens for awhile until we get strong...no shame in that...no guilt either...In fact...as soon as you are up to it, go do something nice for YOURSELF. There...the ying and yang of life is all it is. I don't see selfishness at all.
