Just an update on my dad: Yesterday he had a PET scan, not sure what the letters stand for? We were at hospital from early afternoon until 5.30 pm.
Then today he had to go for his consultation during his consultation we thought they would have the result of yesterdays scan, but they didn't, but so far it seems there has been no spread.
He has to get three dozes of chemo prior to the operation each time he will be kept in for 5 days. Normally they do it in one day and let you home but because of the type of chemo and three different drugs they prefer to keep you in? So it seems! Was at hospital for four hours today.
Since arriving home they have phoned him to go in on Sunday morning to start his Chemo on Monday. Its all happening so fast, he really is having difficulty dealing with it. So that's that!
