Recently (6th August) been diagnosed with high grade, invasive breast cancer. MRI, CT and bone scans have been arranged this week. Having wonderful hot flushes as have been told by consultant to throw my HRT in the bin!!
Convinced that cancer has spread, but trying to remain positive. Family don't seem to be coping with this as well as me at the moment. I am trying to continue at work as I want as much "normality" as possible whilst I can as I realise there will come a time during my treatment that I won't feel up to working.
I have been told that I will need chemo and radiotherapy and have a date for my surgery. Had my hair cut yesterday as apparrently your hair has less chance of falling out if it's short. (Probably a load of rubbish, but hey!!!)
Pre op clinic on Monday so hoping all my scan results will be back by then.
It still feels as if this is not happening to me!?
