Hope this is just a blip!!

Less than one minute read time.
Having a down day today, in tears all morning imagining the worst. I knew it would come, but wasn't sure when. Went downstairs this morning and was greeted by chaos, dishes everywhere, enough dog hair on the kitchen floor to stuff a cushion, and a pile of dirty washing. Nothing changes, life around you just carries on as normal!! A friend asked me if I had sourced any nightwear or bra's for after my op and to be quite honest I had to confess that the thought hadn't even occurred to me. Would be grateful if anyone can tell me of any good websites etc where these can be found. My sister is coming over from Spain to visit on the 30th of August, so have that to look forward to. Bless her she hates it that she is so far away while I am going through this. My sister in Jersey says she wishes she could be here to give me a cuddle. It must be hard for them too. I am hoping that today has just been a blip on my positive attitude and I will pick myself up. Tomorrow is another day. Debbie. xx

These flipping blip days are a pain in the backside. I get them periodically and oh how I hate the feeling of doom and gloom....not me at all. I seem to get back on track after being on here and reading the inspirational stories and humorous blogs of fellow club members. It's puts everything in perspective and generally makes me feel a whole heap better.

As for the unwashed dishes and the dogs hair.........................s*d it!  Yes,life does carry on around us, but don't worry about housework, it can wait another day or two. Who knows, maybe someone else will do it for you???

As you say, tomorrow is another day.

    Love and hugs

Hi Debbie, I am assuming you are to have a mastectomy and that is why you ask about websites for bras.  Personally, I had a lumpectomy so didn't require any special type of bra, but there is a wonderful magazine written specifically for breast cancer sufferers, which is sent out twice yearly, called Amoena Life and they have loads of bras and swimwear for mastectomy patients.  You should be able to find their website and I would advise you to register to have it sent out to you.  It is a wonderful magazine full of inspirational stories and other subjects we all have questions about.  Best of all, it is free lol.  Hope you're feeling much better tomorrow.  Best wishes, Christine xx
