Well it's now 12 weeks since my last chemo cycle.
The one lasting side effect, fingernail problems, is changing very slowly indeed but is moving in the right direction. Apart from the two nails that had infections under them and dropped off (which are showing little sign of growing back yet) the others which were deformed and discoloured are growing out, being around one third of the way. In the meantime it remains difficult to carry out many simple jobs because they are quite painful.
Other than that, I've settled into the routine of 12-weekly Prostap injections and daily Darolutamide tablets with no real discernable adverse effect so far. Hospital blood tests and reviews at 12 week intervals will also be routine in future.
A few other facts / observations:
Return of confidence means our first holiday since start of treatment was booked yesterday and we're spending most of January in Lanzarote. Having now secured annual worldwide travel insurance we'll be making the most of this throughout 2025 and for as long as things remain stable.
That's about all for now.
Derek.
