I have been through quite a lot to say the least but I’m still here I was on Olaparib parph inhibitors for 17 years unfortunately it stopped working last Jan 2024 prior to that I had 5 years of chemo
My only options now are to have palliative chemo of which I’m going for my 3rd cycle tomorrow I know there are new medicines coming through for when the parph inhibitor fail but I have not been offered any
I started phase one trials with Olaparib in June 2007 apparently I was the longest living person on the Olaparib to survive June 2007 to Jan 2024 and in April 2023 it was licensed by the NHS and is keeping and giving hope to so many individuals
I feel now ive done the job that was needed and im forgotten about just left to die
feeling very let down and deflated
