Life after the operation

Less than one minute read time.

Hi All
Thank you for all your comments and hope that you find some help from my blog.. Just an update on my husband.

He came out of hospital on 16th June 2010 and I have to say it has not been easy, he was at first very weak after been in bed for nearly 9 weeks but we have now got hime moving.  He takes the dogs out for short walks, and tries to help in the home. We had great shouts of joy from our grandaughter last week , when he sat down on a rug for a picnic and managed to get up on his own, the whole park heard her.

Eating is the biggest problem with the sick feeling and bloating afterwards, we can not pin it down to anything it happens with things that he has had before with no reaction.

Back to see his consultant late September, but as of now the are very pleased, and we are managing to maintain his weight.

    Hi Poppet,

The main thing is your Dad is maintaining his weight. It must have filled you with pride when he started to take the dog for short walks, and the Picnic in the Park. His grandaughter yelling with delight. He seems to be a very determined man who knows exactly what he wants and how to go about it. Small steps at a time. Well done Dad.

Take care and be safe Big Hugs Love Sarsfield.xxx
