Hi, I am going to see Oncologist on 10th December to discuss details of forth coming chemo treatment due to start on 15.12.10. I have noticed several members refering to fitting of Picc lines before chemo.Does anyone know if Is it standard practice to have one fitted before treatment starts and are they they painful.?

IHi Cathie,

It is reassuring to know that you have had a positive experience with your PICC Line, I hadnt realised that having a line was so common and I was feeling uneasy at the prospect..
