I look at the moon and the stars - I feel you are near
I notice the sound of the river - I can hear your voice
I feel a sensation of warmth - I remember the laughter
I see a smile in someones eyes - I remember you
I feel a joyous sensation - I remember you cheekily teasing me
Now you are no longer here
I notice the world all around me
As if for the very first time
For those who have battled cancer, and live long to tell the tale
And for those who are no longer with us, living now in heavens bright vale.
