JD SPORTS- RESPONSE.....

1 minute read time.

Hi, I'm sure u all remember the 'situation' Myself and Son went through, a few weeks ago now, with JD Sport, & theHAT/HOOD incident...

As you know I complained.

Today, I recieved a letter of apology for my son & also one for myself!

AND as a ,goodwill gesture, a voucher for my son, to spend in their shop, for £50!!!...

Wasn't that good of them!? They also informed me  that they'll be 'more aware' to not JUDGE so hastily in future!!!!

They are also  'reviewing'  their hats off  procedure:  I think they will be putting signs in windows....or something like that!...... I cannot say for sure what they'll do, as I don't know myself- but their GESTURE'S a victory, in a BIG way, for all who may have a need for hats or hoods, & shopping!!

I am amazed that JD Sport's apologised, & also think they were very genorous with their 'goodwill gesture' for my son.

So, for all the complaints, all the frustration,it was worth it. We've all got a result as they they are going to review 'hats' & 'hoods'!

Yay!!

However they do it, it will be a result for all who HAVE to wear hats or hoods. I'm pleased that MANY PEOPLE on here, ( & those who arn't), Will benefit!

I feel liberated....Mad eh? I feel at last, I have done something that'll affect MANY people for the positive,....& that can't be bad.....

Ta for reading- love from Laney xx

THANKYOU J D. SPORTS!!!!

Result eh! [* *]

I think you deserve massive congratulations for refusing to take this and getting such a good result [and educating a few people along the way].

Your son must feel very proud of you.  The poor child is going through enough without having to face crass behaviour from "authority" at this stage in his life.

Reminds me of having my scarf literally snatched from my head at airport security by a terrifying Rosa Klebb lookalike not long after starting chemo and bald as a coot.  I was so startled I said nothing, just delivered a glare full of hate.  A friend I have made on this site had a similar experience, so I don't know whether this is a policy, and they do similar to burqua-clad women, hasidic Jews, Sikhs, etc.  Now I just say firmly to the scumbags, "I have no hair.  May we go somewhere private?" which generally works.

So pat yourself on the back - you have done a lot of people a favour.
