the only reason I can see is they want me in today is that apparently there is a31 day NHS directive saying I should be seen within 31 days of appointment to see the consultant and thats up today my operation is not until tommorow. they want me in at 3pm.I AM having a sentinal node biopsy as well I wonder how long it will be before I get those results,

Hi Plum Duff,

I'm sorry to hear you are going through a very difficult time at the moment & you may be right about your hospital admission on a Sunday - or maybe they are just making sure they 'bagsy' the bed before anyone else can get their hands on it!

Good luck for tomorrow & make sure you don't leave without asking how long the results will take!

The results usually take up to two weeks. But I would check with your consultant to be sure. All the best and Good Luck.

thanks for your good wishes guys. The op went well unfortunately they couldn't do node biopsy as they found four all too difficult to reach go back for results of wide excision on16th december, i don't know where we go from there
