My step dad has been diagnosed with stage 3 mesothelioma nsclc. He was given approx 9 months to live in February. He has had 2 very strong doses of chemo and has showed good results. But his surgeon wants to do this EPP operation. They want to remove the lung, pleura, pericardium and diaphragm, I am absolutely terrified if this. We have been told of the awful trial results of this. I'm in a daze just now. I'm getting married in may. We brought wedding forward because of the diagnosis. My heart is aching so much just now. We don't know what to do. This is so terrifying.
Please if you have any info on this what do ever it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Susan.Im afraid I dont know.You both need to know what his quality of life will be after and how long they think he will have.I dont know if any of the Macmillan nurses will know but you could ring them and if they dont know they may be able to find out for you.When is his next appointment? HUGS
