I have thought about you often over the last few months and it's always noce to see you post.

Sadly my dad passed away on Tuesday this week so have now joined the club that REALLY nobody wants to join.

It was so very sudden and unexpected as he was still up and about everyday and hadn't reached that awful 'final' stage yet - although I am thankful for that as he would have hated us seeing him like that.  

Thinking about everyone who has lost someone - especially over the next few days.

Hey Claire, how lovely to hear from you again, although with such sad news. I am so sorry hunni, You were briliant to me when i joined this site and i can only imagine how amazing you will have been with your dad. I get what you mean about not having to see him deteriorate, which fills your memories. whereas although sudden and unexpected your dad was still doing things he would do normally and enjoying his days.

I am so sorry Claire, i know words don't mean much at times like this but we are all here for you and whenever you need to talk please pm me.

Be gentle on yourself over Christmas, tears will be inevitable as they will be in my house tomorrow.

People say it gets easier....i wouldn't say easier but you learn to live with the way you feel, if that makes sense.
