I took my daughter to the hairdressers today and after 20 +mins of her screaming and crying "no you are not touching my hair" she calmed down enough to let the nice young girl cut 4 inches off. not that you can really tell with her long blonde locks.

But we have just sat down and i said 'see it wasn't that bad was it' she no but grandad like twisting it.

What can i say???

She says i want to make him happy.

So do i babes i said.

Aw! Kids can press buttons when you least expect it! As a child (aged four) my husband was banned from the local hairdressers after he kicked the barber! After that, his father put a pudding basin on his head and clipped around it with a scissors!

Hi Vicki

A childs mind is an amazing thing, it is both sad and wonderful that your daughter didnt want to get a haircut because of grandad! Had a thought that maybe you could tell her that the hairdresser was sending some of the hair up to grandad in heaven so that he could still twist and play with it, and that way she wouldnt feel sad about the haircut
