Hi im new to this site and would just like people to talk to. I have a rare type of cancer which required 7 times in surgery, 1 of which had never been done before i also had to have radiotherapy on my chest and upwards. I will probly never get the all clear due to this. I sometimes find the challenges i face and discrimination i face impossible and i lost all my friends.

I am sorry you are facing such a hard time at your young age but this site will help you to realise that you are definitely not alone.

Sorry you have had to join us but you've come to good place for help and support. I think Marjorie (above) is right to direct you to the chat room. You should get more direct responses there - especially as you are young enough to keep up with the pace!

Hi Ping, I also have been treated for a rare cancer type and I am currently 2+ years post-treatment!

You will not have to feel isolated anymore as we all support each other on this site,no matter what,so feel free to chat,rant or rave or have a wee laugh or a moan,we do not judge anybody on here and you will always find someone to Listen!

Dear Ping,

My heart went out to you reading about your situation. You have done the right thing joining this site as there are so many wonderful people to offer support and to listen. My son has been dealing with the ups and downs of cancer since he was three years old and he is now 28 and, fingers crossed, healthy. What you have to remember is that cancer is a part of your life but it is not all of your life. Try not to let it overwhelm you and make sure you have interests and things to enjoy. Come on here and tell us if you are angry or worried but also tell us the good things because there will be some , I promise. Take care and keep in touch, lots of love, lizzie xx
