Yesterday that doctor told me that my cancer is incurable. Without treatment I have only months to live, with treatment I may last up to 2 years.
My son is only 12. How can I get through this?

I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. I hope that you are very quickly given treatment options, and that you go on to prove them wrong.
I dont know what to say to you that will give you any comfort right now but I am so very sorry you got this news. Please try to remember that what the doctors have told you is only a guess and I am positive you are strong and a fighter and can surpass there expectations. Use us here for whatever you need. You can get through this with your son holding your hand, dont they just give you a reason to keep going and thats all you can do.
Please remember that all the prognosis times are statistics and right now everything is raw and scary but you only have to get to know a few people on here to find out how wrong those timescales can be.
My illness is not curable but treatable and I was told 2.5 to 3 years but feel healthier than ever, so I aim to prove them wrong! I have 3 children, 15, 13 & 11 so lots to live for.
Its trying to keep a balance of being positive but also realistic.
