Well, today began with Pat looking a bit off colour. He then said his feet were hurting and sure enough his legs were swollen and red. He is Diabetic and gets Cellulitis but has had a good run lately. It's my call and do I hope it won'rt blow up or ask for a GP call in case we get to the blister stage over the holiday. Asked for a call and our lovely GP was here an hour and a half later.
Whilst we were waiting the Carcinoid symptoms decided to come back and he was sick. Our GP has prescribed a two week course of the appropriate antibiotics and also gave an extra tablet for the nausea. Whilst he was with us Pat had a typical example of a Carcinoid flush and a dizzy turn. He is now sleeping and will no doubt feel a bit better once the antibiotics start to kick in. It was a good opportunity for me to pit the GP in the picture that treatment had started.
Tomorrow is another day in this journey and perhaps it will be less bumpy.
