mum and her wheelchair

Less than one minute read time.

well mum has surprised us by accepting the wheelchair bought by the hospice and actually asked if i would take her out for half an hour .it was only a short shopping trip but i think shes realised that at least she can get out whilst she still feels up to it .i just hope it stays like this a bit longer .i love my mum to bits and it seems to do her good just to get a change of sceneryxxxxx

So glad your mum has accepted the wheelchair from the Hospice.  I think it is so important to be able to get and about while you can and enjoy the fresh air and just watching the world go by and passing friends in the street, etc.  It used to really lift my mum and me when we would go out and be a part of 'the world' again.  Make the most of it and I hope you enjoy many more trips out with mum.

    Hugs

    Nic xx

    Hi Val

I am really pleased that your mum is asking to go out, as I know how worried you were that tshe was becoming so depressed. I think that there is probably a process of acceptance that a terminally ill person goes through, at least it seemed that way with mum. Treasure every moment that you can manage, but please make time for you too - between your mum and stepdad you have a lot to deal with. Wishing you as long as possible to make more happy memoriesxxx

    love and hugs sharonxx
