Hi All
My mum was diagnosed with advanced localised pancreatic cancer on 21/11/22. She had a stent fitted and sent for chest X-ray. Consultant was seen on 5th Dec who said she needed to have a liver biopsy and would refer as urgent. Nearly 6 weeks later still heard nothing. She’s contacted the pancreatic nurse who said she will chase it but they have a back log. She’s seen her GP today as has a cough again and generally not feeling as well. She’s been sent to have chest X-ray again tomorrow.
i know she’s not the only one suffering and waiting but it’s my Mum and I can’t believe she’s still not had the biopsy so she can hopefully start the chemo treatment. Apart from GP and pancreatic nurse I don’t know who else will be able to get this sped up a bit. I can’t help feeling angry that’s she’s been forgotten and just left for the cancer to do it’s thing. Sorry if that’s a bit dramatic but I’m just so worried it’s being left.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
