Halloween seems like an undesirable day for a blood transfusion but that is what is happening right now for poor old J. His HB levels went down to 7.7 yesterday and his GP decided to take his action. His consultant is on holiday and apparently there is no consultant cover at the hospital. God only knows how this has been allowed to happen. But luckily his GP was there to organise it.
Everyone says it will make him feel better. Lets hope. Bit anxious as his temperature was raised when he got up this morning....hope it's just a mildly scary halloween not a terrifying one....
