Yes, we climbed a mountain today - physically as well as metaphorically! Climbing mountains is what we like doing in our spare time, I didn't think we'd be able to do it again until John is better, but we did! We chose an easy one where you can park more than half way up, it's been a gorgeous day, and he did it. Thought at one point when we started, and he was sweating and struggling, that it might be a bad idea but then he got a second wind. I think he really enjoyed being out on the fells again, we had the summit to ourselves and it was just lovely. Happy day!
Tomorrow he has his next treatment and then it is a full 2 weeks before he is back again for round 2. I won't say he looks particualrly well at the moment, he is starting to look like someone with cancer, and he does get tired easily. But all is as fine as it can be with us.
We're home alone without kids as well. The boys have gone down to my parents for a week. This is giving all 4 of us a break as we have all been a bit stressy and stir crazy lately. They're enjoying being spolit and J is enjoying having some peace and quiet and the telly to himself! x
