The consultant rang J before. He's now got the PET scan results. J has got cancer above his clavicals, in his chest wall, the middle of his chest, his abdomen, groin, spine, left hip socket and right ribs. John is to start ABVD chemo as planned on Thursday but might have to have radiotherapy at the same time. Horrified doesn't come close to beginning to describe how I feel right now. Every communication with the hospital gets worse. It started as a little lump on his neck. He is still pretty much fine to look at. We've been out for lunch today and no-one there would have guessed. I'm really really scared :-(
