J's rough this week. He has a streaming nose and eyes, a tight chest, and any sort of exertion leaves him breathless with his heart hammering in his chest and head. He looks awful too, very drawn and sallow, with yellow-brown bruised rings under his eyes. I think his birthday weekend has done him no favours but I'm also reminding myself and him that he is always rough this week in his cycle. The beacopp seems to go like this:
Day 1 - full day chemo - sick and tired, goes striaght to bed when he comes home
Day 2 - half day chemo - lots better
Day 3 -Ditto day 2
Days 4 -7 - Feels good, gets tired but mostly pretty good
Day 8 - half day chemo, starts feeling sick in afternoon
Days 9 - 12 -bad stomach, tired
Days 13 - 17 -worse
Days 18- 21 a lot better
Am hoping he can shake this off and get to the good days this cycle. As ever I'm worried. Today I'm not letting him move. Usually he does things around the house, takes the dog for a walk, washes up, picks the kids up, starts tea. Today he is banned from moving from the settee. Come on J, 48.5 days of this rubbish to go....
