Scan day

1 minute read time.

J has gone off for his CT scan today to see if they can identify what is causing the pain in his diaphragm. I haven't gone with him as I don't think he'll get any results today and time off might be needed more in the future. I've got my knickers in a knot about the mode of results delivery as J hasn't been given an appointment time to see the consultant. I like to know what' to expect. Scan then results appointment in about a week is fine. It gives me the heebie geebies that J might be left in limbo, or that they might ring and say we need to see you now, or they might ring and tell him over the phone when he can't take it all in (that happened with his first PET scan). So I'm not a happy bunny. J, as ever, luckily, is more accepting and says it's all a means to the same end.

We've had a good fortnight anyway. I think it's because we know the drill now. No point getting worked up, might as well enjoy what we can while we can. So we have. We took the kids to London and had a great time and had a brilliant drunken night out with friends the other night.

We haven't told anyone other than family about what's going on. Havne't told the kids either. They didn't ask why he left the house at the crack of dawn this morning not in work clothes. That's the beauty of boys I guess!!! Ho hum, best away to work...
