Remission

Less than one minute read time.

Remission is the best word in the world isn't it? We got the good news on Wednesday and I nearly fainted!  I cried, J was cool as a cucumber and said he always knew it. He's now bouncing around like tigger booking us a holiday for the February half term. He is also planning to go back to work on a phased return at the start of February. We're very happy and very relieved and hope that we are the lucky ones and it doesn't come back.

So grateful to all the medical professionals from the wonderful cheerful nurses, who made a grim place a happy place to be; to his lovely GP who kept tabs on him all the way through; and even that naughty, nervous consultant, who actually turned out to be the genius everyone said he was. J's lucky and he knows he is lucky, and I am the luckiest person in the world right now xx

So happy for you :) I've been following your blog for a while now - J was diagnosed around the sale time I was, although I had Non-Hodgkins. I'm also in remission now, and yes it's the best feeling :)

So happy for you both, it's great to see such positive news and I hope you have a fantastic holiday. Thank you for blogging, I have read your last few months worth as am relatively new to this and it has been really helpful. Best wishes, Diane xxx

Thanks both. It has helped to write it all down. You don't have to be positive all the time when no-one knows you!! Best of luck Diane and enjoy the next 3 months of freedom Sue :-))
