Our Journey: Treatment Time

Less than one minute read time.

After an emotionally intense few weeks of being advised that cancer was suspected, to having cancer confirmed, to then have to wait for a specific diagnosis; we are finally here!  It's Hodgkin's Lymphoma - stage 3b.  My darling husband who has been amazing throughout all the prodding and poking, the blood tests, multiple scans and 3 separate biopsies; he now faces his first Chemotherapy treatment.  A clinical trial!

He's felt ill since Monday (more than normal) following the PET CT scan.  I was so worried about him yesterday.  Scary times!  Today he definitely felt better but he is still experiencing cancer fatigue and other Hodgkin's related symptoms.

Please don't mistake this as a sob story...far from it!  I am married to such a positive man and his strength and continued positivity throughout is amazing!

This hasn't been an easy journey...we've been married for 8 months and this journey started just after 5 months.  Still, if we can get through the worst challenges at the start of our married life, the rest will be plain sailing!  ;o)
