my husband johns cancer diary
april 1st rushed into pinderfields hosp needing 7 units of blood after a blood test after being to docs with blood in his urine
april 5th had cystoscopy and a growth removed from his bladder
may 10th had ct scan at ddh
may 25th diagnosed with invasive bladder cancer and they also thought it had spread to his lungs
june 10th lung biopsy at DDH
june 22 appt with lung doctor at DDH
june 30th PETscan at jimmys
july 13th appt at PINDERFIELD with urologist will order another cystoscopy to make sure everything ok
july 25th bronchoscopy/biopsy at JIMMYS
july 27th now wanting to investgate his bowel
july 28th having funny dos
july 29th doctor rung lung cancer not spread to lymph nodes will refer to surgeon
aug 1st sigmoidoscopy at DDH failed to see what they were looking for
aug 11th cystoscopy at DDHall clear will retest in 6 months(the first bit of good news we heard)
aug 15th second sigmoidoscopy failed again
aug 17th seen consultant who now thinks my husband is not fit enough to operate on referring to oncologists
had a brain scan told the funny dos were mini strokes
due to go as inpatient for 3rd sigmoinoscopy on aug 31st
and oncology 0n sept 6th
it is now nearly 5 months since all this started and john as still had no treatment apart from painkillers for a cancerous lump that has appeared on his waist in last 2weeks why does everything take so long the poor man his in agony
