Ides of March

1 minute read time.

Well what a March - Ian medically evacuated from Tanzania with renal colic and stones, partially treated in the NHS and completed in the private sector, the upside, it confirmed that my reversal will be 'done' on April, also at the private hospital. What a damning reflection - I am sooo sorry for those people who endure the 'standard' NHS. My experience locally is when the chips are down the NHS is superb, hard to beat and worthy of plaudits all round, BUT even then I have seen from this site, really good experiences are patchy across the country!! (Rant over)

I continue non the road of a survivor, but wincing at every small glitch! So with that in mind its meet with the local gym and devise some serious but not too demanding routine, mainly based around building stamina and muscle strength again, so cycling, walking and possibly swimming, although I have the flotability of a block of concrete!!. Then meeting up with the local Pilates group to improve balance.

Continuing with Parelli training with Florian(horse) and Stuart, (pony), not riding, yet!

Gearing up for the reversal op in April, oh boy bowel prep!!, remembering pelvic floor exercises, and all that with the background of MS which is a bugger at the moment as it is giving me significant back pain and balance problems, but we shall overcome!!

So it blowing a hooley, and raining, again, liquid sunshine in Cornwall.

Rugby tomorrow, should be a significant game, no saying who the winner will be-

Hubby back in Holland for a week or two, to be home for the op, so feeling a bit alone in this gargantuan house, but onwards and upwards, its beginning to feel like a bit of a slog, sorry guys just not too cheerful at the moment!!- Guess we all get those moments, BUT it is really good to hear from the team that we are reporting positive progress, regardless!!  You are all excellent role models.
