Cycle 2 and the steroids the day before treatment are messing with my sleep. I am tired, my eyes are tired, my head is tired but my body is clearly disconnected and is buzzing! It was 3 am and I could feel every sensation in my bones, truly weird. I dropped off to sleep around 4.30am, only to be awoken rudely by the dog barking at 5am. Clearly I am not the only one in the house with bowel problems!
Cycle 2, Day 1 today, 6 hours or so for the drug cocktail to drip in. It can be a bit boring, especially for a busy and active person like me, so I was delighted to get this activity pack, kindly made up by a good friend. I thought her inclusion of “Chemo Buzzword” was particularly inspired, though the challenge of having a conversation about how landrover defenders never break down is highly unlikely in normal life, not least in the outpatient unit!
