I've been a bit grumpy this weekend and I don't really know why. I've been managing my side effects ok, but the weird taste in my mouth is just annoying as food doesn't taste quite right and nothing is helped by the weather, as clearly it's decided that rain and wind befitting of January is just right for mid May.
Anyway, as we were both up relatively early this morning we ventured out in the Landie, heading for a blustery walk on the cliffs and a bite of breakfast at Hive Beach. From there, having consulted the map, Hardy Monument was the next stop, though the promised view was somewhat obscured by cloud and sideways rain, so we kept it brief. Then North to Cerne Abbas, to feast our eyes on the Cerne Giant!
I feel so much better having had a change of scenery and some fresh air and visiting somewhere different also gives new topics of conversation, so all in all, a much better day.
