And back to work

And back to work

I took 5 weeks off post surgery, the first time since maternity leave (and that was certainly not a holiday either) that I have had such a long time off and I've just had my first week back and I am absolutely knackered!

Alarm clock wakening was literally the first shock to the system! Gosh, it's been so nice to waken up naturally, have a cup of tea in bed and read the news, catch up on social media etc. Now it's bleep bleep bleep and thinking “what time is my first conference call”

And, how to fit in the bloody exercise that I am determined to do. I'd forgotten that this really needs to be baked into my schedule or it's 6pm and I've walked 2,000 steps and I end up dragging the poor dog on a 6km stomp before dinner!

In hindsight, coming back mid week might have made more sense, but it's lovely to be back, to be seeing people and to be almost back to normal. And now it's the weekend and some down time on the cards!

Wow! I am in awe - return to work seems beyond my radar.

  • Damn those conference calls! Lol

I have the same issue. Between breakfast, school runs, feeding the quail, I won't have time to fit in any exercise! Bah! Think that has to change though...its just too hectic!

It must be strange to see everyone again but can feel your excitement...you're just inspirational. I need to take your approach too...get a bit of info then crack on with. This then doesn't land me in all the stress and anxiety cycles! So horrible!

You should be so very proud how you take everything to your stride, esp with the walks. Today is raining like mad and I change my mind! Need to work on will power!
