Now into the second half of chemo cycle 3 and, though I may be tempting fate by saying this, I feel good. This third cycle seems more manageable than the first two. I had no sickness, just a bit of nausea, no heartburn at all and a little tiredness but not awful. I've had a few cramps and the odd queasiness, the sore mouth and weird taste was still there, but it all seems a little less severe than before.
I have to wonder if I am just becoming used to it, so it doesn't feel as strange or new, or by some quirk of fate, am I actually coping well?
I've worked full time all week, which means long hours in the home office, video calls, online meetings, webexs and conference calls. I am very lucky, I love my job and it keeps me focussed and occupied, So much so that I realised today that I keep forgetting I am “ill” as this week has felt remarkably normal.
Looking forward to a weekend of fun, our daughter is coming home for a few days and we're meeting friends for fish and chips at the beach?
