Just been reading amazing story about a man with secondary liver cancer, who was given year to live , has had a new procedure to get rid of it . It has worked and he is now in remission, waiting now to treat his bowel cancer. Good luck to you and let's hope it helps lots of other people. x

Hi,

Whilst I hope the man concerned continues in remission for a long time to come, this kind of article is extremely misleading.

The procedure is not new, it is more commonly known as SIRT. Lots of people have had it, although (in England) a lot have self funded because it is just another thing PCTs are unwilling to fund.

in need of answers - I'm sure it would be available in France but it is not suitable for everyone, you have to undergo tests for suitability.

If you google Sirtex you will find lots of info.
