well now ive calmed down a wee bit .....well you have to dont you when they wheeled paul back into his room with all tubes n all ...we had to calm down be nice n quiet n peaceful - but we had the biggest smiles on our faces helen couldnt wait to tell him the good news his fear was that the surgeon would not be able to get the full tumour out .....it was awkward to say the least! behind his small intestine (attached ???? he didnt know) near the vena cava (attached/pressingagainst??? ) the surgen had told him he would not damage his intestines ...as it would cause him too many problems he also removed his appendix and other lymph glands near by obviously the tumour has gone off for testing ....some results did come back 1st day from lower lymph glands...all clear but the main results not due for another 10 days he has already been told prior to op that he most prob will need further chemo ...to "mop up" ??? prob not exact translation -but hey we are in spain!!! and he may need bone marrow transplant (now that news really freaked me out!!!!! so any positive stories welcome) he certainly isnt out of the woods yet -but - the op could not have gone any better the surgeon is really pleased -with himself and paul ....who i might add is recovering really well all tubes out today - hes sipping water n juice - and has walked to loo a few times he looks pretty damm good! me and helen are taking it in turns to stay with him .....i spent last night on a reclining chair ...im so not a good nurse i just press that buzzer or run for a nurse at the first sign of trouble !!!! i cant speak much spanish but im great at actions oh must add .....theres this nurse .....soo soo gorgeous ...obviously male! wish i was 30 years younger ;) oh yeah n not married ...... i might try to get a foto of him before we leave ...give you all a treat! ive gotta go ...i want to check out any news of my WNfriends ops ...its been a real busy week here on WN xNx LIVESTRONG
