Newly Diagnosed Cancer Patient Needs Your Help and Support, Please

1 minute read time.

My very dear childhood friend, Patty Gravatte, was just diagnosed with tonsil, throat, neck, and lymph node cancer.

Patty is a wonderful person who donates time to not only her family but also her community.  She is a single mother who adopted a child of different skin color so that Patty could provide a loving and nuturing environment for her daughter.

Patty went into the hospital to have her tonsils removed.  Subsequently, she was diagnosed with tonsil, throat, neck and lymph node cancer.  She is seeing a dental oncologist next week.

My baby sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer six years ago and at that time, I did what I refer to as a "card campaign".  People from all over the world sent her cards, chemo hats, lap afghans, quilts, and most important, prayers.  You can not even imagine how Cheri felt to know that so many people cared about her and they did not truly even know her.  There are good people in this world, for sure!!! My baby sister is living cancer free, at this time and I thank God each and every day for all of the prayers and thoughts sent her way.  However, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would do another "card campaign" but I find myself here today writing to you asking for your help and support as Patty goes through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

I know that Patty will appreciate your thoughtfulness and all of your prayers that you will be sending her way.  And, from the very bottom of my heart, I thank you so very very much!!!  May God Keep You and Bless You.

Sincerely,

Rebecca
