Mission accomplished yesterday, with a helping hand from my work colleagues who sent me some beer.
It’s like going on holiday, just not looking forward to next week as much as I did Italy last year. Talking of holidays, me and 18 year old stepson should have been flying to Bilbao on Saturday for the Euro 2020 game Spain v Poland. Obviously wouldn’t have been making that trip so Covid has done me a favour there. We’ll go next year.
So, packing….
Toothbrush – check
Books – check
Chargers – check
Ipad – check
Lucky Saints pants, for Norwich v Saints on Friday – check
Interested to know how much weight I will lose, so just weighed myself and I come in at a chunky 13st 4lbs. Normally around 13st, so lockdown is to blame for 4lbs.
A bladder has to weigh something, so must lose some. And of course there’s hospital food.
Also just checked my phone history. My first call to my GP about this was on Tuesday 14th April. The day after Easter Monday, so that’s 9 weeks ago. 9 weeks from thinking absolutely nothing wrong with me to RC and hopefully Neobladder.
How quick is that. Surely we have the best National Health Service in the world. And we should all be extremely grateful for that. Amazing what we sometimes take for granted.
Leaving home tomorrow about 6:15 as need to be in Charing Cross at 7ish. Think op will be mid morning, and could take 6 to 8 hours. I’ll find out exactly how long I’m under.
Will pop a quick post in tomorrow morning.
